UNDERSTAND THE TREATMENT
PT-141, also called bremelanotide, acts on melanocortin receptors. Desire and erectile function are different concerns, and a clinician should first clarify which issue is being assessed.
The starting point is your health history and the reason you are seeking care—not a dosing schedule found online. Your clinician can assess whether a treatment discussion is appropriate and whether a better-studied option makes more sense.
WHAT PEOPLE ASK
PT-141 (also written PT 141 or pt141) is bremelanotide, a peptide that acts on melanocortin receptors in the brain involved in sexual desire. It works differently from erectile-dysfunction pills.
One bremelanotide product (Vyleesi) is FDA-approved for premenopausal women with acquired, generalized low sexual desire (hypoactive sexual desire disorder). The compounded vial Peps RX lists is not that product. Bremelanotide is not FDA-approved for men. See PT-141 and bremelanotide.
In the approved product’s trials, nausea was the most common, followed by flushing and headache. Blood pressure rises briefly after a dose, so it is not suitable for people with uncontrolled high blood pressure or heart disease. Darkening of skin patches has also been reported.
PT-141 is $285 a month on a one-month plan. That includes the online consultation, the clinician review, supplies, and two-day shipping once the pharmacy dispenses. Three-, six- and twelve-month plans are offered at checkout. If the clinician decides treatment is not appropriate for you, your payment is refunded. See what peptide pricing includes.
Yes, through a clinician review. You complete an online health assessment, a licensed clinician reviews it (a phone call may be needed) and decides whether PT-141 is appropriate. If it is prescribed, a licensed U.S. compounding pharmacy prepares it and ships it to you. Peps RX serves patients in all 50 states; a prescription is never guaranteed.

What a licensed U.S. compounding pharmacy means for your prescription, and what it does not.

Peps RX prescriptions are compounded by a state-licensed U.S. 503A pharmacy for the individual patient named on the prescription. That is a different pathway from products sold “for research use only,” which are not made or labeled for use in people.
Injectable preparations are sterile preparations. USP <797> is the national standard for compounding them, covering cleanroom conditions, personnel garbing, and beyond-use dating, and state boards of pharmacy enforce it.
Compounded drugs are not FDA-approved. FDA does not review them for safety, effectiveness, or quality before they are dispensed, and state boards of pharmacy are primarily responsible for overseeing 503A pharmacies.
Your prescription label names the dispensing pharmacy. You can confirm its license on that state’s board of pharmacy website. How to verify a compounding pharmacy.

THE DETAILS MATTER
The displayed monthly price includes the asynchronous consultation, supplies, and two-day shipping after dispensing. Your medical questionnaire starts the process; a licensed clinician independently determines whether treatment is appropriate.
Your dose is determined by the prescribing clinician from your intake form, health history, current medications, and the reason you are seeking care. The strengths listed on this page are product specifications, not instructions for use. Do not calculate a protocol from this catalog or combine treatments without an individualized clinical review.
How long a vial lasts depends on the prescribed dose, schedule, formulation, and pharmacy instructions. The monthly price shown on this page describes the care plan; follow the fulfillment and use directions provided by your clinician and pharmacy.
An FDA-approved bremelanotide product has a narrow indication in premenopausal women with acquired, generalized hypoactive sexual desire disorder. This compounded vial is not that product. Blood-pressure and cardiovascular considerations, nausea, and other risks require clinical review.
The listed price includes two-day shipping once the pharmacy dispenses and ships an approved prescription. It does not mean delivery two days after your first visit. Review, preparation, location, and carrier conditions affect the overall timeline.
